1. Friends and family are your greatest support

Shout out to our supporters - Thank you for believing in us (and buying from us 🤑) and helping us get through our first year running a fashion business.

We've been overwhelmed with the support from the industry and our colleagues. We have loved working with influencers and collaborating with other amazing women, Hello There Cheeky and Obiq, to create some amazing custom accessories.

2. Sometimes things don't go according to plan

We both knew from experience that no matter how organised you are, sometimes things don't go according to plan. Your fabric doesn't get printed on time (or even at all!) and sometimes you get held up at your full time hussle and forget to post that amazing picture of the frock at exactly the right time. The trick is to go with the flow and do the best you can.

3. We are getting better

Our first collection was on the edge of conservative but we really wanted to push the idea that all our dresses come inBLACK, for those days when you just want to throw on a little black dress and walk out the door.

For our second range we wanted to stay truer to ourselves and dive into the fun stuff. Creating our own custom prints is super important to our little fashion label and will be our core focus in the next year.

We have so many ideas for new collections - stay tuned.

4. Running a business and growing babies is hard

Tiredness, morning sickness and baby brain. We hope you can all forgive us for being MIA for a couple of months in the past year. Aimee has just had her little girl and Jess is just over halfway baked. We did manage to time the pregnancies reasonably well and were able to support each other during the harder months, even if were were doing things we don't normally do. 🤔

We look forward to our next challenge of raising babies and running a business.

5. We still like each other and want to keep going

You are often warned about starting a business with a friend or family member but after 12 months, we still like each other and want to keep going. We went into this business knowing that each of us have strengths in different sides of the business and we have continued learning off each other and leaning on each other for support.
