We love working with women and reading about their inspiring stories. We want to bring you a series of blog posts introducing you to women we admire. The first in our series is personal stylist and fun loving mamma, Caitlin from fashion blog Chasing Cait. đź’–
We first meet Caitlin when she was living in Brisbane and working in the local fashion scene. She has since moved overseas to New Zealand and has been busy building a community of women through her blog Chasing Cait.
Cait is a personal stylist and spends her day's helping women discover their style and celebrating feeling amazing. We sent Cait our Spotty Go Anywhere dress and you can see her rocking two different looks with her baby bump over on her fashion blog Chasing Cait.
I LOVE empowering women to feel good about their bodies. Being a personal stylist, for me, is more than just “wear this because it's in fashion” it's about getting to the bottom of why women feel the way they do about their bodies and giving them tools to look and feel a million bucks - every day.
Pink! (it works so well with black too right?)
Well snickers bars, because pregnant. And culottes because stylist. Sadly, pregnancy and culottes don’t really go together so I’m just buying all of the culottes now to wear next season!
Oh lordy, what day is it? I could be working 1-on-1 with a personal styling client, writing and photographing blog posts, heading out for meetings with brands I work with, or hanging with my tiny human (18 month old Emmie) all whilst still trying to fit into my regular clothes at 30 weeks pregnant haha. That’s one of the things I love so much about owning my own business - everyday is different!
Style-wise? The 70’s hands down! Bring on all of the maxi dresses, jumpsuits and bright prints and colours.
It means having choice. The choice to work or stay at home with the kids. The choice to wear what you want, when we want, how we want. The choice to be who WE want to be. It’s a super-exciting time to be a woman right now!
Emmie (my daughter) is obsessed with elephants… can you image how cute a cat-sized elephant would be??
There is none. I get them ALL the time! and there is none.
Self-confidence. Such a cliche answer I know, but one of the biggest things I want my clients to learn is that if you FEEL good about yourself, you’ll always look amazing.
I’m pretty sure there is an app for everything, but I’d love to have an app that scans my fridge, then tells me what I can cook for dinner with the contents (I HATE deciding what to cook haha)
